Liquid cooled cylinders offer a substantial improvement over air cooled cylinders in power output and wear characteristics. The Gladiator product line in addition also boasts substantial weight savings over the stock cylinder components. 

CENTURION™ 583ci

The big brother to the Gladiator. Individually and custom built for each and every customer. We can recondition your existing Lycoming 540 engine and convert it to a lighter and more powerful Centurion 583ci / 350hp. We also have an option for phase II customization and can offer the CENTURION RS660ci in both NA and FI versions.

Air cooled engines are usually run rich during take off and climb, it is not unusual to run some air cooled engines at BSFC’s of .65 and even more if turbocharged. Liquid cooled engines can be run at best power without the need to cool the engine with fuel. By running liquid cooled cylinders we can close up the tolerances and thereby reduce blow-by gases and harmful emissions, at the same time realizing higher output due to better detonation margin.

AN ALTERNATIVE… HAWK E330J/G V4

The Hawk E330 is designed as a replacement for 6 and 8 cylinder Lycoming’s and 6 cylinder Continental engines, an alternative with 300hp-500hp weighing in at just 132kg (301.4lbs) including gearbox.

Designed to run on industry standard Jet Fuel (Diesel [EN 590], Jet A, Jet A-1, DEF STAN 91-86, JP-8, DEF STAN 91-91, JP-8+ 100, Chineese Jet Fuel No.3) Will also run and peform on all gasolines where necessary, 80, 87, 91, 95 including 100LL along with bio derivitives.
